Fashion icon DVF speaks to my heart. “I didn’t know what I wanted to do, but I knew the kind of woman I wanted to be.” – Diane von Furstenberg. I believe style can play a huge role in that – dress for the job you want not the job you have right? BUT I have been a little cloudy about what I want to do as a career. I DO know I want to be independent with freedom to travel, have a family, throw a killer party and afford the lifestyle I want.
When I look at women that admire – both in real life and onscreen, (Kate Middleton, Claire Underwood, & Lisa Vanderpump) they have three things in common: Strength, Style and Class. As I turn 30 (in 17 days, but who’s counting), I am trying to find my own personal style. Let’s not kid ourselves, I love clothes and I have a lot of them. Being an actress for years, I have what some may call and “eclectic” wardrobe. Trying to figure out what I want to portray to the rest of the world on a day to day basis has proven a bit of a challenge for me. I browse online and picture an event or outing I could do in that outfit, but I never get it quiet right.
So I have enlisted some help: StichFix. It is a fabulous website where you fill out a style profile and a stylist picks clothes for you. They mail them directly to you and you get to try them on in the convenience of your own home. Plus, any returns are FREE! I got my first box about a month ago and loved it! I didn’t keep everything, but the items I did I probably wouldn’t have picked out for myself at the store. That’s why I love it. It pushes me to try new things and they give you a style card to help you pair their picks with other items you may already have in your closet.

My second box is supposed to arrive this weekend. Here’s hoping I can pull it all together! Strong, STYLISH, and Classy here I come.
